Boardmaker Software Family Training Coordinators

This group is for people who are Boardmaker Software Family Training coordinators for their organization (e.g. school, district, or clinic.) These are the people responsible for training staff on how to use Boardmaker Software Family v6 (Boardmaker v6, Boardmaker Plus! v6, Boardmaker Speaking Dynamically Pro v6, Boardmaker Studio v1) to create activities that would support the goals and curriculum of the individuals they serve. This group serves as a common place for BSF (Boardmaker Software Family) Training coordinators to share with each other the activities that they have found successful in supporting their staff. Group is moderated by a BSF Implementation Training Specialist from Mayer-Johnson that can answer questions, provide training materials, and share activities from trainings.

direct pointer and direct touch

I have a question about using direct touch for activities. I have been making activities in direct touch for some of our kids who have problems dragging. I have also converted some that I originally made as direct pointer activities. In both cases, I have noticed that even though the "Finish Current Actions Before Allowing Next Selection" box is unchecked, it doesn't seem to work. It is especially noticeable with the reward videos. When the activity is in direct pointer mode, you can go to a different video and click and the first video stops and the new one begins. In direct touch mode if you want to go to a new video, you have to wait for the first one to finish playing. The new action doesn't cancel the first action. Has anyone run into this? Does anyone know if there is a way of fixing this? Thanks Judy
